DAY 5. FRAMNES. NORHEIMSUND

In our teachers' last day Elena and Irene attended a history class with Atle about French revolution. Rodrigo went to a Training management class where the class was guided by some students and at the end they had a feedback.



Then Irene explained History of Spain to Vg2 students, who will need this topic for their final national exam. They also attended a Vg1 class where students learnt about Pretérito Perfecto simple, first with grammar explanation and then with written oral activities.




During lunch, they said thank you to all the teachers, who have been really nice and closed to us, helping us in everything and even adapting their classes using English so that we could follow them. They brought them "Rocas de chocolate Amalia" that they tasted as dessert, and our colleagues were also gifted with a bottle of water and sunglasses with the school logo.

During the afternoon they enjoyed Bergen at night and said goodbye to an unfortettable experience they will never forget.






DAY 4. FRAMNES. NORHEIMSUND

The first class was English. Irene and Elena have been with Atle, where students explained a book they had read in English. Rodrigo attended a class called Sports and Community, a theoretical class.


Then Elena and Rodrigo went to Recreational sports and Top level sports (Football and Volleyball) and Irene went to pick up apples and press them up in order to make juice. It has been amazing experience, learning one of the tradicional jobs in the area.






After the break they have assisted to two different English classes and finally to Media class with Magnus, who has considered them as his students and have used English during the whole class so that they could participate.



In the afternoon they have been in a traditional event at school, created to collect money for a NGO they select at the beginning of the year. They organise activities during the whole year and today Irene, Rodrigo and Elena has seen the "Måneskinnstur". It's an activity where students auctioned dates. Then they go in pairs for a walk under the moon and have dinner together. Students organise everything and they are also the waiters or play in the band during dinner time. They can also watch a romantic film in the Auditorium (as a cinema) after dinner.

DAY 3. FRAMNES. NORHEIMSUND

Today Elena and Irene have started with the Spanish class in Vg1, 16 years old students. They have shown them a video about the school and the natural park and then they have talked about the Spanish education system. Students have practiced Spanish with a game of questions and answers.


Rodrigo has attended a physical activity class where students have played floorball.

Then Elena and Rodrigo have seen a Maths class with Lucio, a Peruvian teacher living in Norway, who has been really kind with us since the first day. Irene has gone to a History class in Vg3 (their last year st school) where they have studied the history of Norway and they have compared it with the history of Spain in the same period.


Later, during the break time we have been in the staff room, where all the teachers have had a detail with another teacher because of his forty birthday.


After the break Elena and Irene have gone to another Spanish class with students in Vg2. They have been more participative and have played some games after the video. Rodrigo has gone hiking. A typicial Norwegian saying is: "there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing". Marta, the teacher, has lent him appropiate clothes and they have gone to the mountain under the rain.





Finally, they have assisted to a recreational sport class with Frede and they have seen an ultimate frisbee class. In the afternoon, Harald, the principal, has invited them to have dinner with his nice family and they have talked about the opportunities of Erasmus projects and the possibility of asking for one from their school once they get more information about it.

DAY 2. Framnes. Norheimsund

Today Irene, Rodrigo and Elena have participated in different sports classes, such as top level volleyball, top level football outdoor or recreational football indoor. Students in their third year here (such as a 3° bach) can choose to specialise themselves in sports.

After a break they attended two different English classes where they could see that students have a high English level when they listen and speak (they watch TV with subtitles), however they also have to review really basic grammar mistakes as they don't work it deeply in secondary school.

Before lunch they had a meeting with Harald, the principal, to get information about the Norwegian education system and it has been compared with the Spanish one. They have also given Harald a special present, a Don Quijote book for the school.


In the afternoon they have visited different lakes and a branch from the fiord with Laura, the Spanish teacher who has organised this visit and who is giving us the opportunity to know the Norwegian culture, people and nature.






DAY 1. Framnes School. Norheimsund.

It doesn't matter if it rains or snows in Norway, life never stops. Our colleagues went on a tour around the school under the rain. They discovered a new, cheap and really popular sport here, that is frisbee golf. Students practice it in classes but also in their free time using an app.



After that, students and teachers welcomed the Spanish teachers in the Auditorium.


Then Rodrigo went to a physical activity class. In this high school students attend different types of sports classes.


Elena went to an English class where students were studying the contrast between British and American English and advantages and disadvantages of studying abroad. And Irene went to a Geography class where students where studying glaciers.


The classes lasted 90 minutes with 5 min breaks. Later we had a snack with teachers for 30 minutes. You can see the schedule of the day in the last picture.


After the brunch, Elena and Rodrigo went to a Physical Education class were students were divided into two groups, one practicing volleyball, guided for two partners, and the other group working strength and endurance.


Irene went to a History class where she showed students a presentation about the different periods of the history of Spain. Again the classes lasted 90 minutes. Then they had lunch at school, rested for a while and went to see the girls' football trainning and to visit "Steinsdalsfossen", a wonderful waterfall with great views. Finally, they went back to school to have dinner.
